Man I just got in my 2.5 Cycle Shack slash cut slip on's for the 08 FatBob... man compared the the stock's these things ROAR! I am loving it.... Just started it up for a min tonight after the install... can't wait for the weather to warm up a bit this weekend to take them out !!!
They are about 4-5 inches shorter in length than the stocks, and the outside diameter went from 3.25 to 2.5... the flow matches the header pipes real well... and the baffles are removable in the cycle shacks for further upgrades down the road... I still have a stock A/C, and no P/C unit yet... though that I would take it in steps for $$ reasons... From what i have read I can use these replacement muffs until I get the P/C then get the new A/C then finally get the up sized baffles... and a re-map thrown in there somewhere... Anyway pics and movie clip to come...
thanks to all on the forum for the cycle shack tips!!! Could not be happier
Louder is always better! lmao! Have fun riding! We're just waiting for the storm to hit tonight for another foot or two of snow! No riding for awhile here!
My experience with Cycle Shack slip-ons showed that after a thousand or so miles, they actually sounded BETTER than when I put them on. For whatever reason, they have a break in period where the sound just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter.
I did notice that inside the side sliash opening the finished was marked and marred from putting inthe baffels. I also noticed a bit of surface rust due to this... Is this just standard? Or should I contact the manufactor about it... I dont want it to rust out early or anything... Not to mention that right now you can see the marks inside the tip when looking at them... Over time they will darken up with use and you wont see them I guess... Or am I just being **** about it?
Mine showed none of those marks, I don't think it will give you problems down the road. Since you just got them you should contact the mfr. with pics. You got nothing to lose and they just might help you out.

I can relate to your joy! I've recently installed a set of V&H Big Shots on my '09 FatBob and the first time I fired it up she really ROARED and I was in heaven. I say "was in heaven" cuz now I'm goin' thru hell waiting for the weather to warm back up!
