So, since the riding season here has been over for the past couple months (just got 14"of snow today too) I'm DYING here. To ease my pain, I have been going crazy the past couple weeks, buying things The wife is ready to kill me......

My next "big" purchase, is possibly going to be these new, old school, tank badges. I pulled my badges off back in the summer, and after not liking the empty tank, had hopes of painting the tank, or having my friend draw up some artwork, and then having a sticker made. Of course, neither of those ideas worked out.

I came across these just before, and I really dig them. $83 for the badges, adhesive backing, and shipping. Kind of steep, but definitely the cheapest option. My only problem, is I'm not sure how they will look. What do you guys think?

Dude, they all know its a Hog.
I tear off ever sticker and reflector on every bike I own. The only reason I still have them on my Sporty, is they stop the mirrors from hitting the tank. Run Commando!

I don't really care if they think its a Vespa. It's for me, cause I'm not digging the big, empty, tank anymore. The look you have and like is originally what I wanted. Now, I don't like it so much anymore.

Bobgv: Lol, my wife rolled her eyes just before when she saw the big J&P Cycles catalog come in the mail Thankfully, she doesn't stay mad long. I'm not so hot with the photoshop either, but I appreciate the advice.

Was planning on doing the same thing, but with a different badge. Those look good, their '40-'46 replicas. I was thinking of the '61-'62 myself. J&P Cycles has the ones you want for $44 plus the adhesive backed mount for $23, check them out.

Col.,
Cant access the pic of the badges you're looking at, but I am taking the stock badging off my 09 SB and putting on 59-60 badges. Haven't seen the ones on JP Cycle, but I found another website by Jetglow that has vintage/retro badges back to '48. IMO the '61-62 badge would look pretty slick on a WG. Good luck and post pics.

Just use some masking tape to hold them in place and take a photo. Should give you and idea at least. Love the old badges!
