My parts came in today to do the Fat Bob to Wide Glide rear fender swap. Has anyone added a sissy bar to the mix? I like the one that is tall for the wide glide. I might just fab my own but I would like to ssee what others have done.
I already have the sissybar and luggage rack for my bike in stock form . I never liked the look. Im going woth saddle bags this time. That is why Im doing the rear mounted license plate . Im also going without the fender strut covers.
Can't wait to see how it turns out!!! Please Please Please take pictures of each step of the fender/rear turn signal/sissybar mods.. I'll be ordering a '10 WG fender for my '08 FB in the next couple of weeks and i'm gonna try and do all the work myself...

I will post pics of my progress. I still have to get the fender painted so I cant start right away.
looking forward to seeing the pics...i'm planning on doing the same thing eventually. a little off topic, but what turn signal module are you going to use? i've seen a few guys use different ones but i don't know pros and cons to any of them.
as far as the sissy bar, if you have the skills, i say make your own. that way you can do what you want.
I recently did the same mod--put the wide glide fender on my fatbob. I think its a great change. Good luck. The first photo's are with the the wide glide seat and then I changed to LaPera bare bones.
