08 Dyna Tank Swap
I have a 08 FXD. I have a tank from an 08 fatbob that I want to put on my bike. The problem is that the speedo concole for the fatbob as the ingition switch on the concole. I want to use a speedo concole from the FXDB which as the same ignition set-up as the FXD. The top plates on the tanks are different and so are the console mounting bracket on the top of the plate. Is there any way to modify the fatbob top plate to accept the console for the FXDB?

Anything can be modified to work but it would take some time. There was a guy recently that did the opposite and modified a fatbob dash to work on a SB tank so it is possible.
Really though moving the ignition to the dash is a easy thing to do. I swapped out my FXD tank and moved the ignition to the console and this is still the favorite mod I have done. All you need is a switch and have to extend the wiring to reach the dash.
