I love the look of spokes, but hated cleaning and the fear of a flat without being able to plug it. I recently went with powder coated alloys.

I have a wire front wheel on my Sporty. Flats are a big deal! You have to remove the tire and replace the tube

Alloy wheels on my Fat Bob. Flatted several weeks ago. My bagger buddy who was riding with me had a regular automobile tire plug kit & a DC inflator - voila, 10 minutes and we were rolling. I couldn't pressure it all the way up with the DC inflator but pulled into a service station a few miles later, topped off the tire and it's held full pressure for over a month now.
