Pulled my fenders today to send out for paint, and holy crap was it cold! It was a high of 8 degrees here in Michigan today and my garage is unheated.
Went much easier than I expected, the front fender was just 4 bolts and the FXDX had enough clearance between the tire and rear fender so I did not have to even jack the bike up, was able to reach right in and undo the frame bolt. Had my brother helping me and we got it all done in about 25min. The previous owner had a license plate blinker bar installed on the back and they drilled 2 holes for the wiring in the rear fender, i am getting those as well as the license plate holes patched at the painter since I am installing a cycle visions eliminator when i get it back.

Pretty basic paint job, just changing from Aztec Orange to Black Pearl with Night Train emblems. I didn't have to pull the tank today because I'm swapping to a Lowrider tank so I won't have to pull the stock tank until I get the Lowrider tank back from paint with the fenders.
