I have an 2003 fxdl, just put on 1/2 inch longer heavy duty progressives on rear to gain some cornering clearance(works and rides GREAT)...Now the front end pitches down ever so slightly and I'd like to bring the front end up. I figure I can (1) get a taller front tire...(2) get two inch over fork tubes...(3) get a wide glide front end... The tire would be cheapest and might do the trick. How big a job are the longer fork tubes? The wide glide front end is about 600 bucks- would that just bolt on to a Lowrider? Any inputs?? THANKYOU
The other thing you could do is take up some of the sag--and stiffen--the front fork springs by taking the caps off of the fork tubes and inserting a 1-1/2" to 2" length of PVC tube and reinstall the caps ... you'll probably need a helping hand and a means of compressing the fork springs to get the caps back on ... I'll see if I can find a photo (I recall forum moderator, Mud has some good pics of the operation) ....

p.s. Post by Mud with a photo of him putting his fork leg back together is at https://www.hdforums.com/forum/6799297-post1537.html ... this was copied from his series of posts at 1167, 1168 and 1169 in the "* HOW TO * under fifty bux *" sticky thread, demonstrating how to install 'intiminators' (fork oil valves) ... even if you're not installing intiminators, it is a good 'how-to' on removing and servicing the Dyna front end ....
