Hey folks, I just bought a 2010 Street Bob and I love the bike except the "baby apes". Does anyone know how I can adapt the triple trees to run bars with risers, like drag bars ? I can't afford $500 for new trees, but I need to get different bars. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.
Ride it for a while with the mini apes and you might find you actually like them, I did. I was going to go with the bar set up like that of the Low Rider and never did since I became accustomed to the mini apes and found them comfortable and can still handle the bike quite well.

i couldnt afford the tree change either. put black 883 iron bars on mine and I like them alot. stock super glide cables fit up nice, might need to get em drilled if you wanna keep the wiring hidden internal. good luck. btw iron bars were $60 bucks or so brand new
If and when you do change out the bars. I am very interested in buying the Mini's from you. Send me a PM anytime!
I have a 2010 Vivid Black FXD and I am giving it a FXDB look.
I just bought a 2010 Street Bob paint set on ebay for $520. I was bidding on a Black Denim set but it sold for $700. I bought the Vivid Black set that no one was bidding on for $520. All I have to do is swap out the tank. HD wanted $840 plus tax just for a tank. Now I can sell the fenders with my FXD tank as a set. There are a lot of good deals there on ebay.
