I may do a cam upgrade with some of the Mail Box Money that Uncle Sam will be returning to me this year and was wondering what you guys thought of the Woods Tw555 cams in my dyna? I have been reading the 50+ page Thread that Fuel Moto has in the tourning section and have liked what I see. What is Your experience with these Cams?
My bike is a 08 Low Rider with 18,000 miles I am running a Thunder Header, Stage 1 a/c, and a Race Tuner. The cams that I pick now need to work with my Stock top end but I want to go to a 107" kit and head work next year so they would need to work for that combo also.
Some Cams that I have been thinking about
Woods Tw555
Fueling Reaper 574
Screamin Eagle 255
Paul's sig says he is running the same cams as me--Andrews 37 ... except, I have the TW37B and he has what--'N' series ...? He's got a 4 degree advance sprocket and 1.725 rocker arms which increase the effective lift of the 37s from .510" to around (what is it Paul) .540" (?) ...
I gave $205 plus tax at Hampton Roads H-D in Yorktown, VA ... about a year ago as good or better than I could find on any of the discount websites ....
The 4 degree advance sprocket moves the closing of the intake up from 42 degrees after top dead center (ATDC) to 38 degrees ... this moves the torque curve down the RPM range by a few hundred RPM ....
