What about skip forward the headlight on a street bob? I think that on my street bob the headlight is a bit hidden from the windshield and I can't see it from if I am on the lateral side. Someone has done something so?
I'm assuming you mean push the headlight out a bit. I haven't heard about anyone doing that to a bob but you can buy brackets that push a light out 1 or more inches. I bought mine from Eastern Performance. Also, check out Jackyl's discussion re. different headlights for dynas. Mine "skips" out a bit more than when I first bought it.
is that the cobra? ~$100 at EP? thats on my current list of wannahaves...in your gallery (right side view) it appears the rear of the housing is very close to, if not touching the upper tree...how close is it? also, how much of a 'direct replacement' was the install?
hd_sob,
It's the 9inch Cobra2 I think? It was an easy install. I had to buy a longer bolt, but that was an easy find. It was way too close to the triple tree (but it worked fine) when I initially installed it. I called Eastern and talked to them about it. They sent me a 1.5 inch extension piece. That pushed it out enough that you can see the point of the back. If you do it, be careful with the wrench on a chrome triple tree. Also, cover up your front fender and the light itself to avoid dings from dropped bolts. I learned about that the hard way. [:@]
I was feeling energetic this morning so I took some pics. Man, I'm glad I pulled a robe on. See the 2nd shot.[sm=insomnia.gif]
