Looks nice, not to many miles and appears to be bone stock. Start it, ride it, look for smoke and noise. Keep mumbling its "almost twenty years old" to who ever your with. Looks like a good deal for the most part.
I like it, though I might be a little biased. Mine's a 95, same paint scheme though. Make sure it doesn't smoke, ride it, and look around the base of the jugs for signs of leakage from the base gaskets.
So if the base gaskets are leaking, is that something I can do something about? Is it as simple as new gaskets, or is there a flaw in the design and if they leak once, they'll leak forever?
It can be fixed by pulling the jugs off and having them turned on a lathe just enough to true them. I had it done on my dyna while I had the motor apart.

It's something that can definately be fixed. It requires the disassembly of the top part of the engine though. Not that expensive if you do it yourself, a little more if you have a shop do it. Considering the price of the bike it may still be worth buying if seeping base gaskets is all that's wrong with it. You could point it out to the seller, and use it as a bargaining tool to try to get the price even lower.
