Front-fenderless looks right on some competition bikes, on a stripped-down dirt-track racer or hill-climber... A bar-hopper/bobber/street rod maybe can get away w/ it. Further down the scale are plusher, more luxurious rides where one expects to see the basic refinements.

If you on occasion ride in the rain you'll want a fender. Besides helping to protect both rider and bike from gravel, debris and standing water, the fender also stiffens the forks, like a fork brace.

I was just thinking of taking mine off my bob also!I dont want rocks and water to go in my face though!!! Usally i dont ride in the rain anyways. Its just all the gutters that have water. So does your bike get really dirty with front fender off?

Depending on your actual setup, you will get to taste every bit of sand, puddle, and crap on the road that your front tire rolls over. How you sit and all the other angles will differ from one to the next, but the front tire will throw everything it runs over up in the air somewhere.

That is why I made a fender out of a license plate for the 300 mile trip home.

Bike looks good with the fender! I agree with the others, no fender is more a bobber look.
