As you can tell, I'm very happy with your product. I'll be taking a 5 day trip through Big Bend,
Texas next month and I'm sure that my fatigue factor will be much less than normal.
If you feel rain is going to be an issue Clearview states that you can use Rain-X on their shield. I have their 8" shield, but the weather has sucked here all winter (hi of 18 today, snow since the beginning of December.) so I haven't had a chance to try it.
I used MS fairing PN: 2330-0017 and MS mounting hardware PN: 2320-0029, I have a 7" headlight though. I believe Memphis Shades is coming out with a Batwing for the 5 3/4" headlight
Using rain-x would be great. I used it on an old classic car I had and was on a trip wherre my wipers puked, and of course a huge rainstorm hit....lol. But I had applied the rain-x some time back and lo and behold it really kept the rain off.
I use Novus 1 on my shield and it actually causes the rain to skim off much like rain-x although not quite as well. We rode through a monster rain storm while going through the mountains on I-77 in West Virginia last summer and was sure glad to have the shield. It kept much of the rain off my face shield and out of my face. I could virtually see the spray flying up and over my head. Anything you can do to help gain visibility in a downpour like that is a great benefit. Because sometimes you just cannot pull off the road.
