Default Forwards..

I'm wondering if this happens to any of yall. It seems after about an hour on the ride. My knees start hurting like crap. I'm thinking about dumping the forward controls. Any of you run into this....

I have never had problems on longer rides. I only have forwards but thought about adding mid pegs just to have another place to position my feet once in a while on longer rides. I'm also 6'2" .

That's why I kept my mids, and just put regular highway pegs on it.

I can move around, change position, any time I want. It's like having two bikes in one!

I also like the mids if I'm in the mood for some back-road sporty stuff. Feels like my old '81 Yamaha XS Eleven...

BTW, I'm 6'4", with 52-year-old bad knees. Works for me...

I've never had a problem clutch-side but after awhile my knee on the right-side starts to get a little gamey. It's because of the angle of my leg around the air cleaner and the way it rests on the forward controls. I'm 5'8" so while there is not a "reach" per se, I'm definitely not tucked either.

Heel rests on my forwards helped some but I'm working on some mid pegs to add a riding position. I know guys who use the passenger pegs as well.

Same here. On long trips is gives me at least 2 different riding positions.

My bike originally had fowards and the heel rests were a must. Without them I always felt like I was holding my legs up on the pegs as opposed to resting on them. I have since switched back to mid controls, with hwy pegs added for an alternate position.

I have the Engine guard mounted on mine and put a set of pegs up there so can switch back and forth between the forwards and the ones mounted up high. Vaguely like driving a tank cause you sit in that position, but does offer some different positions.

I had the same problem and added some extensions from Kuryakan. It made a world of difference. Only problem is the reach to the brake. I am also 5'8"
