Just make certain that you install a 3 or 4 inch belt, not the 2 inch. The life expectancy of the 2 is about 10,000 miles, and that's if aligned correctly!

Best damn decision I ever made. I love the noise, the look especially, and the fact that the Rivera Primo Brute Force Extreme that I had installed will handle in excess of 150HP. I opted for the 3 inch drive. If you buy from RP, the kit includes everything needed except for a starter shaft part (have to pull the paperwork again to see what the Harley part number was). Here is an old pic, before paint, of the RP on my bike (http://www.primobeltdrives.com/html/...hadcraven.html). Oh, and buy directly from RP. Tell them some Jarhead from the East Coast sent you.

I ran a Primo Brute IV on my CFL with mids. I loved everything about it...look, sound, etc. I think it's a must for most any custom but don't think I'd ever run one on a newer Harley but that's just me. If you want the look and sound I say go for it!

Well it will be the end of summer before I can do it, just got new wheels. So I suppose I have lots of time to think about open primary vs springer.

Never ran one myself, but my buddy does. It looks mean, I'm actually a little jellous of it. He's never complained and I don't think he's had to many issues with it. I say do it, it will look awsome!

Open Primary will look Bad *** on your WG. It is the one bike Harley makes that can accept such a mod. I hate em on a bagger. Unless you take the Harley out of the bike and make it a custom they look out of place.

.02 cents ain't worth much too some.
