Default 16" wheels DONE! w/ pics

Hey all finally got the wheels together and on the bike. I went with 16x5 rear hoop off an '09 and newer bagger and laced it to my stock hub with stainless spokes from hdwheels.com. For the front I used a 16x3 hoop off the back of a heritage softail with the spokes also from hdwheels.com. For tires I used metzelers 180/65 in the back 130/90 in the front. Other than lacing the front wheel everything went pretty smoothly. I trued the wheels myself and got both wheels within .015" of runout. Here's a few pics (the first one is of the bike the day i picked it up).16" wheels DONE! w/ pics-619266_f40168fa-8407-436d-87c6-c80f503a673c.jpg

That looks great. Love the look of the fat front tire....Let us know how she handles with all that rubber up front.

Its a seat I fabbed up this winter while I was bored. I haven't ridden with it yet, I have no illusions of it being very comfortable but I sure like the way it looks (I call it the bare back). I have the stock solo seat and a c&c fastback so I've got a few options.

Really like what you've done.

I'm looking at a 2000 Wide Glide and already had decided I would need to pull that 21" off and put a 16 or 17 on.

Your pics confirmed it for me.

Cool!
