I am picking up my new '11 FXDWG in Sedona Orange in about 39 days (on deployment right now). I am looking at getting some stuff done on it, namely:
-Tuner
-V&H Big Shots Staggered
-S.E. Ventilator Performance Air Cleaner
However, I am deciding between the V&H Big Shots Staggered Black and the V&H Big Shots Staggered in chrome.
Does anyone have a pic of a Sedona Orange Wide Glide with either of these pipes on it?
Also, if you have one with the S.E. Ventilator Performance Air Cleaner too - that would be awesome.
Any advice is also welcome, being that this is my first Harley.
Thanks!
(Being in Iraq, they block a lot of websites for one reason or another, including this forum sometimes... and I haven't had any luck searching).
I have the big shots on mine and i love them,i also seen chrome ones on a orange one and i believe it was towards the end of the post about all the wideglides with mods if you want to do some searching,i want the same air cleaner also.
Sedona color bikes look better the more black you add. Def get the Big Shot Staggards in Black they will look great on a Sedona Orange FXDWG!!! Dont bother w the street performer tuner. go w Race Tuner or better yet TTS Master Tune the Street Performance Tuner is really limited and way too much money for the tuner that it is. Great choice on bike and color!!
As for tuners, I would suggest looking into the Race Tuner or something like that as the Street Tuner only allows the end user to download pre-made maps from Harley. These maps are fixed and cannot be further manipulated to fine tune your bike.
Really, the Street Tuner was designed for the customer who is planning to continue upgrading their bike with Screamin' Eagle components (i.e. start out with pipes and breather, later go to a bigger bore, maybe add a cam, etc.). At each step, the customer can go online and download the appropriate map for their latest mod.
If you are sticking with Screamin' Eagle components and aren't planning on ever dyno tuning you bike, the Street Tuner will be fine. However, if you are going with aftermarket components and are open to the idea of further tuning, look for a Race Tuner; it's not much more cash and is way more capable.
