When you click this link you will find a Dyna FXDP with spring seat which will fit to the 2002 Dyna models. I have mounted a "rigid" FXDP seat to my FXD 2003.

Sometimes these seats show up at Ebay. If you're interested, I could post a parts diagram with the p/n's needed....

Wow, thanks for all the responses. Sorry for not responding the forum wasnt showing me updates on this thread. But thanks for all the suggestions.

thanks FXD for posting them pics for me. I changed the front wheel today so more pics to come.

anywho, the narrow-ness of the seat is exactly what bothers me most. But sliding backwards on the seat is literally a pain in the butt. i'm going to try to find some bigger stiffer springs and see how that works for me. Then move from there I guess

I would also suggest taking a look at harleyseats.com. They seem to have quite a few options. I am actually goint to be ordering the gunslinger seat with red stiched flames from them very soon!
