When you click this link you will find a Dyna FXDP with spring seat which will fit to the 2002 Dyna models. I have mounted a "rigid" FXDP seat to my FXD 2003.
Sometimes these seats show up at Ebay. If you're interested, I could post a parts diagram with the p/n's needed....

anywho, the narrow-ness of the seat is exactly what bothers me most. But sliding backwards on the seat is literally a pain in the butt. i'm going to try to find some bigger stiffer springs and see how that works for me. Then move from there I guess
I would also suggest taking a look at harleyseats.com. They seem to have quite a few options. I am actually goint to be ordering the gunslinger seat with red stiched flames from them very soon!
