Default Solo Seat Suggestions?

Hey guys. I was just curious who here was running a solo seat on their dynas. My super glide has one buts its very narrow and the spring bottoms out no matter who sits on it. So I tend to slide back a lot when riding and when sitting at a light the battery box digs into my leg because of how narrow it is. It's basically like sitting right on the frame. So I'm trying to find a new one more fitting to the bike. Any suggestions?

What year is your Dyna? There are lots of choices. You want comfort or looks? Mustang Classic is popular, wide or narrow.

It's not a spring seat, but I would have to go with the Mustang as well. Most comfortable seats that I have ever owned. Would recommend to anyone.

Also for the look you want a LePera bare bones is more comfortable than the spring seat and less expensive than the Mustang. I had one for awhile and thought it was comfortable enough for about 100mi at a time which is about as far as I want to go without stopping anyway. You can also get them with gel for more money.

The Mustang seat always gets great reviews. My buddy has the solo sundowner on his and it looks good. Better than the sundowner 2up seat. He tells me it's comfortable.

I bought my Street Bob used and it came with a Mustang vintage wide solo, very comfortable seat, not too soft, not too hard. It's good for many hundreds of miles with minimal discomfort. The only con I have is that IMHO it doesn't look good on the bike. So I'm going to buy a bare bones for short trips and keep the wide solo and pillion for long trips.

My first suggestion is... please post some pics of your bike highlighting the narrow spring seat.

My second suggestion is... try the X Bones solo seat.

My third suggestion is… try a ‘Police’ solo, I think those are on the Road Kings.

My fourth suggestion would’ve been... try stiffer springs or no springs at all (that could’ve been a fifth suggestion I guess)... but it sounds like you don’t like the ‘narrow-ness’ of the current seat.

If you’ve been able to install a narrow spring solo seat on your Dyna, you should be able to get the others to work… if you do… post some pics… we like pics.
