I am about to buy a 91 FXR-P which has been "civilianized." In the process to its civilian life all the turn signals were removed from the bike. I talked to the previous owner who said that he built the bike from a glider kit and he said the turn signal module was bad in the bike so he didn't put the turn signals back on it. He asked me why would I want to put turn signals on it anyway since our state doesn't require them. Anyway I can get help putting new turn signals on the bike but where do I find the necessary turn signal module. I checked with the dealer and it is 173 for a new module. Probably a good investment but it I could get it cheaper that would be better. Anyone have any suggestions for sources? Thanks for your help.

 

You might want to check E-bay. There are aftermarket manufacturers also, but if it were me, I think I'd back to OEM MoCo parts for that.

 

I don't know about the 91 year models, but my turn signal module went bad on my 2001 Dyna. I was about to buy one when my father-in-law said he had one of those from his 2002 Electra Glide so he gave it to me and it worked on my bike. They replace the module when they put the security system in.
Maybe you can find one like that. It sure would be cheaper than new.
