Tell you what, that stuff is tough as hell too! I have it on my primary cover on my Sportster and got hit by an SUV changing lanes. The impact was hard enough to snap off my left side forward control and SHOVED it through my Primary cover...had a 3" long by 1/2" wide HOLE punching in it. The bed liner paint around the hole looked like it hadn't been touched! I was impressed.

I love threads like these about people making due with what they have and simple, inexpensive mods.

Doesn't the Lindby put your feet up awfully high? I have forwards on my '99 FXD, and I'd love to get some highway pegs, but it seems like if they're up high enough to clear the brake and shifter the pegs will be higher than my hips.

Which is OK watching TV, but I'm not so sure about rolling down the highway at 70+.
Not quite that high. I think it was clever of Lindby to design the bar in a nice shape AND think to offer it with foot rests added on. I wouldn't ride long distances with my feet up that high but on a long run ANY change in leg/foot position helps the circulation. I may yet add some fold out highway pegs on the outside of the bar a bit lower down and may even add some pegs where the mids would go. That would be 4 separate places to put my big ugly feet. Then again it might look a bit busy. I'll just have to see. Fortunately my not unlimited supply of disposable income will allow me the time to rethink the whole dang thing about a bazillion times before I spend any money.

Yeah, I'm really liking this magic-instant-custom-bike in a can. I like the look so much that I've already decided that if I go with hard bags down the road I'll just buy em primed and spray them myself with the bed liner. Easy touch ups IF it ever gets a scuff and wallet friendly to boot.

Hmmm, why can't women be more like that?

Some are. Few though.

There is a guy with a Sportster I know that painted all his tins with the stuff too. Came out looking really good and like you said, easy touch up.
