So, today I've learned something new too. nevil...How much of a difference is there between how your stock cover sticks out and your Big Sucker?
OP....sorry for the hijack, hope it helps.
I really couldn't tell you since I didn't measure the stock one before removing it. But the outside edge of the round cover is 3 7/8" from the intake port on the head where the Big Sucker mounts. Maybe you can use that to compare. I'm almost 5"10" with a 30" inseam. With the football it was right up against my leg with the mid controls. Even with the highway pegs it was in the way. For me, it made a lot of difference.

Close enough, thanks. My stocker is about 4 1/2". I'll consider myself lucky that one seat change put me in the perfect riding position.
I had a problem with the stock AC as well. Knee would hurt after even short rides. Replaced with K&N round filter and flat cover. Don't notice it any longer.
