I'm considering putting drag or flattrack style bars on my FXD. I want them as low as I can get them, but I'm concerned about them hitting the tank when turned. Whats the shortest risers I can get to clear the stock tank\filler hump on an FXD?
Not sure but my 07 Low Rider had drags on it with I believe 3" or 4" risers. I did not want drag bars and he had the stock setup so I put them back on. If you are interested as I no longer need them pm me and I can send you some pics and I am sure we can work something out, as I don't want much for them. I was going to post them in the for sale section but I am in no rush to get rid of them.
I have 2-1/2" pullback risers with Nightster (and many other models) bars and nothing comes close to hitting. I also relocated the sigs to the front end.
I can,t answer your question fully, but the width of the bars will also have a baring on clearance as will the turn signals if they are bar mounted.
Definitely a BIG factor. I had some 32" drags mounted on mine with the stock Sportster "C" riser (3 1/2" I think) and they cleared fine, but a buddy tried the same risers on his with narrow drags and they hit. I think his were somewhere around 26" or 27" wide.

I did fine with 4-1/2" pullback risers and 27-3/8" drags, in fact that was the best handling combo for me to date. I just didn't like the too long brake cable, so went higher, then wider.
I put the OEM 2010 FXDWG bars and risers on my 09 Street Bob and they are the perfect height.....I believe they are 5 inch risers. They feel much better than the 16 inch apes I took off.
i just went with 06 sporty risers and 32" w 4" pull back drag bars.... riser $45 ... drag bars $25 ... and new indicator lights w/ harness $55..... way they feel and ride >>>>>>>>> PRICELESS!!!!!!!

I don't have a pic of my current t-bars, but the height, width and pull-back will closely mimic what you have. It is a great fit for me.
