Opinions on the Techlusion TFI?

The only modifications I plan on doing are pipes and a high flow air intake (K&N).

I like mine. Good throttle response. Good gas mileage.

What bike are you going to put it on? If you have an 06 Dyna or an 07 with the closed loop FI they don't work so good.I have the Rev Tech DFO, supposedly the same thing and it's borderline useless.

I put mine on an 04 lowrider. I did add a switch so I could turn it off for better fuel economy or on for better performance.

I have an'06 FXDCI and the only thing that I did was have the stealer download the SE Race download and it runs find. My brother has this or some other add on and we can see the differnce.

With the Techlusion you have to add another Oxygen sensor to one of the exhaust pipes. This is a wideband sensor vs the stock narrow band. The wideband sensor is dedicated to the techlusion and is not wired to the factory ECM at all. At least this was the case when I was looking at the Techlusions 6 months ago. Seems like the most intelligent of the systems as it does not need maps and adjusts everything realtime. Of cource it is one of the most expensive (other than the SERT) too.

Just installed mine and it was easy. I just put on Python 2 into 1, planning on the K&N filter (stock replacement) and did the techlusion. Took a 1 hr ride today and beat on it a bit. Seems to run excellent with little to no popping on decel after a hard run. I went with their settings for a stage 1 but went one notch up in 1st mode (cruise and idle) because that is where stock bikes are the leanest anyway.

I recommend it.

BTW- DO NOT get the download if you are planning on a techlusion. It is supposed to work off of the stock map.

Not true....You can get the settings from Dobeck for any combo of mods or you can tune it yourself. Having the Stage I download bumps up your REV limiter for you, something the DFO can't do.

Curious what kind of difference?
