oil leak quiestion?

oil leak quiestion?
I have a friend with a 1988 heritage softtail. He says it is leaking oil from the motor into the primary. Is this possiable I told him I think he is nuts and his problem with the oil leak he has that he can see is a bad primary gasket.

thats the only way I knew of also and I do not think that is it but i have the primary open right now. we will see if that seems to be the porblem. But i still do not hink that is his problem. Since the oil is leaking along the top of the primary on the out side and I found a small tear in it when i opened it up i think the problem is the gasket. As far as the oil level seeming to drop off in the tank I think maybe it is just burning some off. he still thinks there is more oil in the primary then he put in it i do not think so. But i will let you know. and i would think that the crank seal would really pass oil from the motor over wouldn't it. he rode it about 20 min to my house wouldn't the crank seal have took alomost all the oil out by then?
