Default accel problems

I have a 2010 SB with 4000 mile on it. Acceleration has become slughish, at first it picks up just fine but then seems to hesistate for and second then accel for a second and continues to do this through the whole accel. Pulled my plugs today and they are burning white. Not sure if this is the problem or something completly different. I've done some searching on the forum but need some help being pointed in the right direction.

Check your battery connections. They can vibrate loose. Also, check the connection tabs on the wires to the battery. They can crack where the tab is crimped to the wire.

That's what I'm thinking, too. Rather than contemplate the dozens of causes for this, just dump out your gas and fill with fresh gas. Today's gas separates in a few weeks and leaves uncombustable junk at the bottom of your tank.

Drain that tank. Remove the cross-over line and drain the tank. Also loosen the front tank mount, disconnect the quick disconnect fuel feed line at the lower left rear of the gas tank and remove the rear tank mount bolt. Now tip the tank forward to get all of that old gas out. Reconnect the things that you removed. Now fill the tank with fresh gas and see if your problem is solved.

I don't think it's gas, I ran my tank dry to see how many miles I could get to a tank before putting on a 2" lift. This problem has been going on for while I too thought it was the gas at first but hasn't seemed to change anything. Have not made any engine mods, came with SE air intake and V&H big radius. Going to check battery connections tonight. Trying to avoid dealership is possible, thanks for the help any more advice appreciated.

Adjust your clutch per the service manual by going into the primary.

check / clean your air filter and check / clean or replace spark plugs, maybe have a look a the wires too. If that doesn't help, miget pull the injectors and clean them. If your plugs look lean, .. might be dirty injectors.

Did this start after the 2" tank lift? If you take the 2" tank lift out does it continue to act the same way?

Came with an air filter and pipes, plugs are white? Sounds like you are running way to weak a mixture.Any change to the air / fuel ratio to run the air filter / pipe?

Have you checked the exhaust gaskets for leaks? Still have the stock BR baffles or no baffles?
