Anyone using a Oil Cooler on their bike? looking to get one
Dyna Glide ModelsSuper Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide Custom, Dyna Glide Convertible, Super Glide T-Sport, Dyna Glide Police, Dyna Switchback, Low Rider, Street Bob, Fat Bob and Wide Glide.
Heck yes,
I'm a firm believer in Oil Coolers. HD MoCo Cooler brought Oil Temps on Digital Temp Gauge way down from the 240 to 250 range to the 215 to 225 range. Since the Scooter sees mostly two up riding, I believe the cooler temps mean a little less wEar and tear.....and cooler under me too.....and yes Synthetics in all three holes.
I use the Jagg 10 row side mount. Their web site shows it as an FL fitment, but it
works just as well on the Dyna. If you have forward controls, You'll have to extend the
bracket a bit to clear the shift linkage.
I use the Jagg 10 Row. works well, and doesnt look to bad on the bike.
That looks just like mine, strange, but the photos of them always make them look much larger than they really are.
Plenty of clearance for my extended forward controls. I also use a Jagg oil filter adapter with thermostat, plus a switch activated pair of fans behind them for high heat situations.
Jag 6 row side mounted in left front of fowards, mid height with thermastant.
Double clamped all. Bought 10 extra black clamps. Had to buy 1 1/2" frame clamps.
Double hose support bracket(ebay). looks proper, works great, no leaks.
+2. I have the 10 row Jagg I just installed. I have the vertical alignment on the frame down-tube with an automatic thermostat. It is actually not as obtrusive to the looks of the bike as I thought it would be. You hardly notice it and I didn't have any clearance issues for my forward controls. Makes it a bit harder to get the filter in and out, but not impossible and it really works great for temp control. I had some engine work done on mine and it runs hotter then when stock so it was a necessity for me. Still gets a bit warm when sitting but cools right down when I move.
