Buck Fever is On!!
Any deer hunters on here? It's 31 days and 14 hours away from gun season here in Missouri...And yep I'm getting anxious and ready to go...Besides the sport, it's great to get away and hang out with the family for a week...Well the guys in the family...
If anyone has taken any deer during bow season, post a pic...I'd love to see it.

This is last year's 11 pointer...137 7/8.... Small deer probably field dressed less than 150 but a great non typical rack. Got a feeling someone I hunt with is going to beat it this year.

I'm heading out this weekend to blast Bambis with my son - I CANNOT WAIT!!!! The general season opener in Washington State is this weekend. Hopefully we will see lots of whitetails willing to fill my freezer.
BTW - Marlin 336 in photo - my son uses my old 336 from when I was his age - great gun and deadly accurate at 100 yrds. I wonder if I can get a rifle scabbard for my Dyna??????

Nice one and fine choice of armament!
I probably won't get much deer hunting done this year. My membership ran out the 1st and I'm relocating to TN the first of the year so that will leave me with less than a week once I get up there. Might just spend five straight days in the woods. Gonna try for a bird hunt before then though.

Is this the one your looking for? At least wait for the spots to dry up..lol This was on a trip this summer in Ark,..Picture is not the best because I was driving and spilled my coffee...Hey glad to hear you and your son are doing it together, that's what it is about.. Post pic's

I have been deployed for the last two seasons, and will miss this one also. I love Alabama. Our season lasts from mid-October (Start of archery)(firearms starts before Thanksgiving) and doesn't finish up until the beginning of February. We can take two deer a day during the entire season. During either sex days, you can take two does. Until I came over here, my kids ate more venison than they did beef. As a matter of fact, while I was talking to my wife today, she said, "I will sure be glad when you can come home and start hunting again, I didn't realize how much money we saved on meat." Music to my ears. Apparently, since I have been gone, our grocery bill for a family of 5 (4 without me) has gone from about a hundred dollars a week up to almost 200.

We are in the middle of bow season here in Texas. Gun season starts Nov 4. Buddy went hunting last weekend and got a 7 point in the velvet. Here is a pic of one I got last year.
