Thanks for the parts information iambill.

Do you have any installation tips to offer? Such as on mounting, wiring, etc? I have a 2007 FXDC so what applied to your bike will apply directly to mine.

Thanks, Richard

it went together seamlessly. The only hitch was because I hid the whole thing in the housing, I had to extend the power wire about 6 inches. I would suggest getting a good roll of gorilla tape or some thick double sided tape. All of the components are pretty long so getting them to stick to a round housing is a pain without a lot of tape.

HD has some new really expensive halogen lighting concept. Dealer says he isn't impressed, and has sold only 3. Anybody have any experience with this?

BTW, your coated bottoms of front forks...great idea! I'll put that on my list.

Can you elaborate a little on the installation?

Was there any cutting of wires? As in when removing the stock headlight? If there was cutting, how did you put everything back together? Also, you say you had to "extend the power wire about 6 inches.." How did you do this? By pulling on the wire harness from the frame or did you splice in 6 inches of wire? What gauge wire?

Thanks,
Richard
