Replaced a Metzeler rear tire with just over 12,000 miles on it. Am still riding on the OEM Dunlop front with over 16,000 miles on it (1 1/2 years of riding), though it's about time to replace it, too. I followed H-D's, Dunlop's, and Metzeler's recommendation to run at manufacturer's recommended 30 psi front/36 psi rear, and inflate the rear tire to 40 psi when touring at sustained high speeds or two-up. Tried the tire dealer's higher pressure recommendation and felt like I was riding on a washboard. The tire mileage for me even at 30/36 psi is still way better than I got with previous non-cruisers. Handles fine in the north GA twisties, too.
