make sure to use a red LED or you will melt the lens
That's why I like the Kuryakyn... comes with everything you need. Yes, plug and play. And it's a full board of LEDs... very bright, looks great.

yes you shoot the outside man! here is how you do it
- remove the tail light
- wash with dish soap and water
- take some 800 grit or a red scuff pad and hit the whole tail light
- wipe down with some denatured alch and a tack cloth

- light coat of tint
- light coat of tint
- light coat of tint (by now you can start to see how dark you want it, if you want darker keep layering but use light coats)

*i like to clear it while it is still wet, but that is up to you
- clear
- clear
- clear

* wait 72 hours to cure
- wet sand with soapy water and 2000 grit
- polish with polishing compound

install back on bike

I got the Kuryakyn Low-Profile Deluxe Smoke LED Taillight: http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...fCatId=&mmyId= I painted inside the housing with flat black paint to hide the wiring, also painted the LED light face plate.

Here's some before and after pics of the Kuryakyn lo pro smoked, it's very bright compaired to stock. If you tint one yourself,it won't be very bright. (if that matters to you)

THAT'S where I got the idea... Thanks WS6. Here are some before and after pictures of mine, but I didn't paint the board black. (This is not the "Deluxe" version like WS6, but just the low profils.)

What did you guys have to do to use the supplied LED bulb that comes with the lens from Drag Spec.?? My wifes 05 super glide custom has a regular bulb in there right now and the LED looks like it has a different style (slot) that it would plug into???

Thanks for all the input. I really like the low profile kury myself. But when I found the drag specialty one and the price, I was like damn big difference. So from what I am gathering the kury is pretty much plug and play correct? And a LED board is better that a LED bulb?
