I really like the looks of this bike and been thinking about getting one. I've got a 07 FXDL and 07 XL1200L also. I ride solo since the ol rides one of the other ones. I've been riding for 30 plus yrs and like my comfort and long distance rides. Just would like to hear from someone my age that has one and how it is on long distance rides. I always like to stop at the 100 mile mark just to top off and strech a little.
I rode 300 miles on the stock Fatbob seat with no problem. I bought a Streetbob solo seat to run around town and it is not as comfortable. I am 6'2" and have forwards and it is perfect to me.
This past weekend I rode 700 miles in 36 hours on my Fatbob and stopped about every 120 miles. It was very comfortable and would have no problem going longer distances. I also have a soft ail with airide suspension and I still picked the fat bob.
I would be curious to hear the comparison too.
The Fatbob is a sharp scooter.
At one point before I bought the Heritage, I was going to buy a Dyna Wide Glide and put FL sheet metal on it. I had actually bought the frt fender from a friend to do it (It's in the classifieds now) and CCI made (@ that time) the Rr/fender.
I liked the 90's WG's except for the skinny 21" wheel.
