I just finished installing my Woods TW-555 cams tonight. Put about 10 miles on them and I impressed! This thing pulls like crazy. The install went pretty smooth. The only hangup I had was trying to find tdc on the compression stroke to adjust the pushrods. For me that took the longest. Everything else was very straight forward. Im not a mechanic by trade but I like to wrench on my own vehicles. As has been stated before, basic hand tools and a little patience and you too can "git-er-done"
Those are good bolt in cams. I had the tw6-6 in wifes TriGlide and swaped them out for the tw555. The 6-6 and 555 are almost identical. I put the tw6-6 in my Dyna and the diff. is noticable. Wouldnt have done the swap but had the TG apart for a fueling HP+fuel pump install , the TG is heavy and can use alll it can get for performance, anyhow had the tw6-6 left over so put them in my Dyna. Very happy with both cams.
I want to run these cams also. Did you replace your cam bearings? Let us know what your numbers are after you get it tuned.
I wont need to dyno as i use the ThunderMax/Autotune tuner, i may have it checked someday but for now dont feel i need to.
Go to the Fuelmoto web site, they are a sponser here, they have done extensive dyno testing for both cams and share all the info.
I would have put the TW555 in both bikes but 555 wasnt out when I bought the TW6-6.
