Bah no Aerosol option for Dark Blue Denim from the dealer.

Breakdown of their air-dry paint matrix:

DARK BLUE DENIM DARK BLUE DENIM 98601CTX Touch Up *98609CTX** Quart

At least the Denim Clear is Aerosol.

DENIM CLEAR COAT DENIM CLEAR COAT 98600CLR Touch Up 98606CLR Aerosol 98609CLR** Quart

NOTES:
* Requires application of 98609CLR Denim Clear
** Requires separate purchase of Urethane Activator 8 oz. PN 99825-02
Note: Unless otherwise specified, all colors require the following four step process:
1. Even if parts have been primed from H-D it is still necessary to apply Primer 98603A (quart) or
98606A (aerosol) prior to applying base/top coats. This is required to maintain accurate matching of
final color.
2. BASE COAT (if required)
3. TOP COAT
4. CLEAR COAT

I have a black top tree that will fit your bike if you are looking to change your bars. Bought it for my 09 St Bob new and never used it. I also have shorty risers and damper bushings for it. Hated the built in risers they put on the st bob's b/c it limits your ability to change the bars which is why I bought them.

andrewvantress@gmail.com I will reply with pics if you or anyone else is interested.

Ok came across something strange yesterday after I rode home from work. When I pulled into the garage and shut the bike down, I was hit with a huge stench of gas coming from the motor. It took well over an hour for the gas smell to evaporate. No leaks on the floor, no drips from the gas line or tank. It rode exactly the same as it did to work in the morning and I did not notice this smell at work at all.

Anyone have any ideas what could have caused this? Is this normal for others?

Edit 6/10/2011 2:09AM:
Fat Bob/Wide Glide OEM Exhaust System Install: Completed!

Street Bob OEM Exhaust System Removed (Before):

Fat Bob / Wide Glide OEM Exhaust System Installed (After):

Updated first post too. This took me a while to get done since I got hung up on getting an O2 sensor out of the original exhaust. I had to do two soaks of PB Blaster and do a couple applications while attempting to take off the sensor with both PB Blaster and WD 40.

I stopped at the local Home Depot this past Sunday (6/26/2011) and picked up a cheapo tool box that was decently capable of holding most if not all my tools and was still somewhat portable. DEWALT 24 in. 1 Touch Tool Box for $20. I also grabbed a cheapo floor light setup. Workforce Twin Head 1,000-Watt Halogen Telescoping Work Light for $32.

Since I've been working on the motorcycle later in the evenings and after dark these days, the lights were necessary. All I had in the garage was one 100 watt bulb in the ceiling fixture and a spare lamp that I took the shade off of and put a 100 watt bulb in. So lighting should be resolved now.

With the new tool box in hand, I was able to locate some of my previously-thought-to-be-missing tools. My wife and her mother had ransacked my tool shelf in the garage and used a fair amount during a horrible painting debacle. I found most tools had a nice coating of orange, brown and blue. So I spent a few hours cleaning them and putting everything in the new toolbox. Finally a single place to put all my tools. Now if I can get my wife to remember to put them back when she is done or I'm just not going to let her use them anymore...

So as soon as I get some time tonight, hopefully I'll be able to install my new tank lift from Jackyl!

6/28/2011: Touring Fork Air Baffle (Black) Installed!
Credit goes to ArcherGodwin for his photos in this thread:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...ml#post4515885
Without them this mod would have been a pain. Thank you. I am not good with a cutter saw so I had my buddy cut up the baffle for me and adjust fitment while I provided the photos and some hand support. We also had to change the clip holding the brake line so it had a longer reach to fit right. Test ride afterward proved that this baffle pushes the wind down at your legs instead of your chest! Can't wait to get back on it again.
