I live in Phoenix and just got all my forntend blacked out but the inner tubes and need a place to send them to? Anyone have an idea of a good place thats not big big money?
i went through rocket bobs and they did an awesome job on them. i will warn you though if you put a lot of miles on your bike the coatings will wear through. since i had mine dlced i have put over 7000 miles on the scoot and luckily i have tall dust covers to were you cant see where they have worn down. when i get home from work tonight ill post up some pics. as im cruisin the street glide today.
Strange you have wear as the coating is DLC (Diamond Like Coating) who is supposed to be indestructible ! Would like to see your pics, 'cause I was planing to do the same on a bike (directly at the coater, not Rocket Bobs...)

i work for a downhole mudmotor/tool company and we did some testing with dlc on a selected 10 rotors for our 5 inch 6/7 8.0 power sections. which can have anywhere from 550 to 650 gallons per min of oil base mud pumped through it. now for every gallon that gets sent down it the rotor inside the powersection turns .81 revolutions. we choose a few rigs up in north dakota to run them for there lateral section of the hole to td the well. every rotor that cam back was stripped of the dlc. the shortest run was 6hrs on the motor cause they made to trip outa the hole due to a mwd failure and the longest was 115 hrs and it was stripped of dlc. now with chrome or carbide coatings ive had runs well over 330 hours and maybe wear a .001 or .002 and can rerun them multiple times before they need recoated or rechromed. so honestly the coating does wear and isnt indestructable.
over 7000 miles on the scoot since i dide everything and the ride side tube is starting to wear. the other side looks fine just a little lighter in color where it has been sliding up and down.

I love the look too. Wanted to do them on my LRS when I went through the front end with cartridges and replaced a leg. You can buy them new black coating, but everyone I talked to said the black wears through if you ride alot.
