Default Road 6 Customs Bracket/light Wiring???

Hello, I am attempting to wire my road 6 customs tag bracket/ model A light. I cut the wire to my stock running/stop/turn signal. I have a BLUE BlACK and PURPLE wire. The black is ground, Blue is running light and Purple is brake.

I can't seem to get them wired where I will have a running light and brake light. it's either one or the other. Thanks for the help. I'm working on a 2010 Dyna wide glide.

I forgot to mention, there are only two wires coming out of the light.

I'm running a Road 6 model A tail light also. There is no ground wire for the light. It grounds itself through the bracket. I had to use my dremel to clean some of the powdercoat out of the mounting hole so I could get a good ground with the axle. The bottom bulb is the running light so just wire that to your existing running lights. The top bulb is the brake so run that wire to the brake lights. When it's done correctly the bottom bulb will always be on and the top bulb will only light up when the brakes are applied.

Thanks, I don't have everything tightened down yet. So that might be my problem. I'll give it a try now. Thanks again.

Purple is not Brake, it is turn signal, brake should be red/yellow, unless it has been changed by someone other than HD

Nope, no red or yellow.

I ground some of the powder coating off and torqued it down. Worked great!

In my owners manual it said to torque the axle nut to 95-105. 95 seemed to not be very much so I did 105.. What did you do nkauf21?
