I had the 14" apes (black) on my old bike and wouldn't recommend them.

The bottom width of the bars are wider than the top wide glide triple tree, which makes it look really bad. Also, the finish isn't durable on them (very easily scratched).

Have you priced a set of Wild 1 bars? They are not a set of those cheap $50.00 apes. I have not had any issues with the chrome. Carlini bars are only about $100.00 more than the Wild 1 bars. Sure I like the way the Carlini flying apes look and if I had it to do over I would probably go with the Carlini apes just because of the curve of the uprights. That curve is probably what makes them about $100.00 more, not better quality.

Hey Ghostrider, the bike and bars look great. I've been thinking about the Wild1's too. From what I hear they're the best in quality. But I've seen them look wider than the tripple trees on some Dynas. Wide Glides may be different. Do you have a photo from the front head on?
Thanks for the help.

Hey CKS, I'm in the same boat. Looking at the Wild 1's but don't want my bars too much wider than the tripple trees. I think the Wide Glide front end is wider than other Dynas though. (Don't quote me on that). We may be safe with Wild 1. But another choice i found on here is Santee 14" 1 1/4 bars. They are pretty sharp and match the tripple trees of bobber's perfectly. Yet to have seen them from the front view on Wide Glides. They're about $100 on J&P Cycles. There is a guy on here with a perfect front shot of them. Do a search for Santee apehangers.

Neocontra had the 14 inch Wild 1s on a Night Train, which I believe is wider than the Dyna wide glide forks.....but I might be wrong.....and they still looked too wide....the 14 inchers look almost Square due to the wide base ,and the 1 1/4 inch tubes....the 16s look better....
