If your changing out the bearings, I have welded a little bump on the inner race in three places and slid a piece of tubing in from the other side and tapped it out, once one is out the other is exposed enough to be tapped out without the weld bumps.

You need to replace the bearings no matter what method you use to remove them. ghostriders tool is $60 and JRK's is $80.00 same tool quality? The wedge tool is $45 and questionable IMHO. Welder $$$? All require you to bang the crap out of the wheel bearing to remove it while trying to hold the wheel down and neither include an installation tool to properly pull in and seat the bearings. Many dealers sell the V-twin puller that pulls the bearing out and also presses them in and Debrix has it for $110. It does 3/4 - 1" and 25mm bearings and is the way I went. It literally took me all but 15 minutes, after removing the wheel, to pull the bearings and install them and no banging on the bearing.
No matter how careful you are when slide hammering out a bearing there is a good chance the center race will pull out because of the shock, where the puller uses and even pressure equally pulling on the bearing leaving you with a much better chance that the center race won't break out.
Also, no matter how careful you are, banging in the bearing can damage the race and getting it square in the bore is also a challenge. This is where installation tool is you best option, it pulls the bearing in square with equal pressure and seats it properly in the bore. If you have some buddies that need a wheel bearing change then you can get your money back in beer or cash in no time and not take chance in messing up their rim in the process. There is the right way and there is the cheap way and many times the cheap way ends up costing more.
Just my 2 cents

Pic does not show the third puller.
I bought mine at K&G for less than 125 to my door. I think you get a 10% off first time buyer discount so it might be cheaper than Debrix
Debrix

K&G

You might find it cheaper on ebay, but I don't think those come with a thrust bearing for install.

Good luck and make sure that you install the bearings from the correct side of the wheel to start!
