Default Grip fitting?

I just put new grips on. The left grip fit nice and tight (glueless design) but when I put the throttle grip on, it seems to be very loose; @1/16" clearance. The grip is also metal so if it is loose it will make a racket. Could somebody tell me if this is normal before I put everything back together?

A lot of aftermarket metal grips either come with or you buy a bearing that slips into the end of the bar and you install the grip over it. It helps movement of the grip plus takes a lot of sloppiness out of the grip. Now if you are saying it has a lot of play at the switch housing then I don't know what to tell ya.

I think once I assembly it then it will be ok at the switch housing. Where can I find one of these bearings?

I have seen them at J&P Cycles. You'll have to search their site. If you decide to buy one just make sure it will work with your grip.
