I am getting ready to start putting my bike back together and am putting a set of FXDL indicator lights in the headlamp eyebrow. I bought these used, so the wires do not have a connector, they are just cut. I will need to splice them into my existing connector. My question is how do I do this? Both wires coming from each light are black with no writing or indicators on the wires as to which one is positive and which is ground. Can they be wired either way?

If you let me know what year indicators you've got and what year/model your bike is, I'll try to find out for you....
Thanks. Unfortunately I don't think this will help. This diagram shows that the wires should be color coded, and they are all plain black so I have no way of telling them apart.
I dont think they can be wired either way. I would just pop the lights apart real quick to see which wire is which. Color wire goes to the wire thats attached the plate touching the bottom center of the bulb.

Sure thing. Here is the harness (green stuff is just tape on the wires labeling which light is which from the seller, does not indicate anything about the wiring itself):
And here is one single light I took out of the harness:
I can't really pop the lights apart, as they seem to be closed units. even the replacement units from HD come as the closed unit. These are used though.

I see the lights are completely isolated in plastic. IMO they can be wired either way......
I will check the lights on my 2003 FXD tomorrow and let you know what I found.....
