Ordered a 2012 Fat Bob Through the military and I decided against the extended warranty. I'm just wondering have any of you guys experienced any issues with your bikes? Anything I should look into. Maybe upgrade before it fails or anything like that? Just trying to get ahead of any known issues to minimize the impact to riding. Thanks alot. Oh yeah and I will also be doing all my own maintenance.

I ordered mine thru the military also in 09'. I got the extended warranty, I think it was part of the deal. With the warranty and security it was still under MSRP. No problems with the bike at all. I got it in July 09 so I have 2 seasons riding, only put on 9700 so far, hope to do more this year.
I've got just under 37,000 miles on my 08 with only one issue to date. At 17,500 miles the swing arm bearing went out. It was replaced under warranty. I rode it as much as I could wile it was under warranty... 25,000 miles.
The extended warranty generally isn't needed... It certainly hasn't been in my experience.
I have a 2010 and when I initially purchased the bike I did not get the warranty as I didn't have the scratch at the time. However, I did get it a little while after (from another dealer for a much better price).
I don't expect parts to fail...but they do. Also, I have used the tire warranty about 3 or 4 times with my previous bike riding over nails. Tires ain't cheap, neither is putting them on. I didn't pay a cent and every time was moved to the front of the line.
Another reason was because I knew at the time I had some extra money. I'd like to say oh well I'll just save it....but that's BS. I would've just spent in on other materialistic things I didn't really need. So instead I purchased a warranty and now if something does happen *knock on wood*, I won't have to worry about dealing with it.
I had one issue on my 09. One week before my 2 year factory warranty ran out the rear wheel bearing went out at about 10,500 miles. They replaced it for free. That was a close one but no other issues.
