street bob passenger looking for information about sissybar and seats

A sissy bar will make all the differance in the world. I'd go detachable but then you have to deal with detachable hardware on the bike at all times. Its small but its noticable. Or there is a way to notch the rigid mounts so they can be removed easily by loosening fasteners and what not, i think im gonna go this route in the near future. Dont know how it hold up in the long run, and dont know if it does anything to the fender or not???

I had never even thought of that as an option. Then I could use the quick detatch hardware for some saddlebags if I wanted to. Thanks
i notched some rigid sideplates and jacked my fender up. well scratched it. wasnt to happy, make sure u do it right. i dont think theres an easy way to get it on and off. just from personal experience. something will get scratched or dinged up.
My wife likes this one ( I do too ). Mustang Wide Vintage 2up.
Be careful though Mustang sells a lot of different seats. The Wide Vintage is 16" wide on the rider and 12" wide on the passenger. It fits a Dyna well though due to its' hour glass shape. The sissybar and pad are H.D.
The only minor problem I have with mine is it mounts right up against the sissybar on the rear. Not much but I put some stick on black pads just to make sure it did not rub thru the seat.

Thanks for the headsup, I guess I am back to the original plan of a quick detatch sissybar/luggage rack and a Super T Luggage bag. Hence the wanted ad in my sig.
Dittos on the wide Mustang Vintage 2up....Same thing here, and still have the stock for the solo runs....Detatchable sissybar is the only way to go..off and on in seconds..
i have the detachable sissy bar and sundowner seat. the sissy bar pad is a stock heritage softail classic backrest i had laying around.my bike is a 2008 street bob. wife says she can ride all day. she's 5'5" 123lb ish? i can take sissy bar off and change seats quick if ishe can't ride.

I have an 07 Bob that I put the Harley passenger pillion and the detachable mid size back rest on and wife enjoys it. Nice thing is when I go solo I pull the pillion and the backrest and I am good to go.
