Default cleaning powdercoat

i just picked up my powdercoated tins but the dude wasnt around to talk to, his mate that gave me them said i should find out how to clean 'em as they might require some special (yet simple) attention... all he could tell me was the brake fluid and paper towels were bad, which is probably worth remembering

what do you guys use/recommend?

I treat the PC like I do paint and I use a plastic polish on gloss or semi gloss if I get spiderwebs, but only soap and water on textured.

I am sure that there are guys who know more about it than me, but just from my experience I use soap and water alone and nothing else.

I have lots of flat black pc parts and I use to S100 on the bike and it was terrible for the pc parts. Took me a little while to figure that part out, but it made the pc parts look horrible with a white film on them. I finally shifted to just soap and water and then air/blow dry and no streaks.

s100 has an oil base on a flat paint that is not good... but for the motor it is great!!!

I'll have to try it on the motor, getting a little dirty...

THe brake fluid wont hurt the pc. what do think is on your master cylnder and calipers. im not saying poor it on there but if you spill some not a to worry just wipe it off and your good. as for washing just like everyone else says soap and water. i use a good car wash and shammy. when she is really dirty i spay the whole bike minus tins with simple green first. it breaks down the road grime and is fairly cheep. work great for wheels!
