Dish soap. Finish with amonia free window cleaner.
A friend of mine uses the new Harley cleaning stuff they have at the stealer. Not sure if I see a difference.
Plus I really don't like the Colorado Springs HD dealer. Haven't trusted a thing they say since I got my old Sporty there 5 years ago! just my .02 and experience.
It says right in the manual to use an ammonia based glass cleaner(windex) on denim paint. It's what I've been using for 2 years and my denim paint looks great.

+1 on the windex, works great. Nothing else ever needed to clean the tins beside it. It's cheap too.
Windex is the way to go for me too. Keeps the paint look really good - cleans all the crap off and doesn't leave a mark. Much cheaper than the Harley branded denim paint cleaner.
When I had my SB with the Black Denim Paint I used car wash for major cleanings and Amonia Based Windex as per the manual for touchups. Both were followed by the Harley Gloss Spray. Also when I did get some scratches in the paint I had a very fine liquid rubbing compound that I used to remove them. Worked great....
