Default Wide Tire Kit

Has anyone done a Wide Tire Kit yet. I have a 2009 Dyan and I was thinking of doing the kit this spring. If anyone has done the kit please let us know.
Thanks Tom

Are your signals relocated? If they are you really dont need the kit, just a tire.

It depends on how wide you want to go, anything over 200 would upset the handling and rob power, some people would say a 200 is too much but I have one and would disagree. I think over 200 needs the rim and swingarm kit and it's an expensive way to give up performance for looks..

Im was thinking of going with a 180mm tire. Harely has a kit with the 180mm Dunlop GT502 and all the hardware and brackets for the change. For $279.95.

Apparently you missed the sarcasm above and missed the reference to do a search so I will just tell you...

We have discussed this numerous times. You will find that you don't need the kit...just buy the tire.

It is much cheaper this way and all you have to do is make sure your wiring is tight against the sideplates so it doesn't snag.

I had mine tight as possible and it still rubbed some wires...I was running air shocks which were softer and lower than stock so that probably did it.

I recently switched to the Metzler 170mm tire and just posted a pic above for reference. I think a Metz front / rear combo handles much better than the Dunlops....unless you run a better Dunlop in the front which may help.

I love the 180 rear, but the Metz combo handles soo much better that I don't think I'd waste my money on the Dunlop SE 180 again.
