Hey HD bobber . I just got a 2011 street bob and Im thinking of the same mods. Do you have any issues with your thundermax. I keep hearing (mostly from people who dont have them) that they are finicky , dont always run right etc. I am looking for smooth power and decent mileage. Good cold weather starts are a must . I live in Montana so this is not optional. Sounds like you are happy with it. What is your mileage like and do you like the power of the TM ok?
I heard some of the same complaints, but after closely reading some of them, it seams most were user error. Not following the initialization and tuning process as outlined in the manual.
There are several steps involved, so if someone wanted to go quick or take shortcuts, they will have problems. I read the entire manual before even starting the install, of course I was out of town on a business trip, glad I did.

Exactly right. The beginning steps to pick out the correct map from the selection, and correctly initializing your unit before riding is very important for a smooth running tune. Plus it takes a few rides for the system to learn your bike and correct the selected map (with the T Max the systems adjusts itself and tries to make the map a smooth as possible ).
If I were you I would have no doubts buy the unit. Its the best thing out!
I did the same thing, plus I played the video from youtube about installing and setup, from zippers. It was fairly easy, but took some time.

thanks everyone for the feedback . now if I could just figure out why my new engine is puffing smoke very slightly every time I ride it for an extended period of time. Actually its only happened twice , once at 30 miles and once at 100 miles.
Glad you are getting good results with your new TMax w/AT Rich ....
I have had great success with mine ... I am definitely a true believer ... notwithstanding what the 'naysayers' say about the old Alpha-N technology ....

In my view the results speak for themselves ....

That they do... I only wish I had done this BEFORE I spent the money first on a FuelPak and then a PC III.
