Default Watch out for water

Hey all, just wanted to share a quick experience. I washed my bike, then it ran like ****, cruddy, in and out of throttle. I was worried my PCV was broken! Be careful how much water you spray around your electrical connections!

My connection for my PCV is behind my rear cylinder. It took almost three days to find out that it was full of water. I have since rerouted it under my seat behind my electrical box so it isn't so exposed.

If your bike is running badly all of a sudden, it is most likely an electrical connection!

Disconnect your PCV....let it dry out....pack the connection with dielectric grease. Reconnect. The dielectric grease keeps water out and doesn't hinder the electrical connections at all.

Been there...done that. lol

Vic you beat me to it! A little dielectric grease goes a long way. I use it on all my connections as well as the fuses. Stops them from corroding as well.

Best to let water run out of hose over bike vs. spray nozzle. All you need to do is pre-wash, soap, rinse & dry...high pressure spray = bad.

Also, those hot chick bike washes are eye candy - best to keep them away from bike...watch how many times they drop the sponge & don't rinse it...
