Default Mid-controls to Front

I have a 03 lowrider, when we got it, it had mid controls. I just wanted to move them to forward and the mid shifter lever is the problem. Does anyone know how to remove it without taking the primary cover off?

I have seen posts on here before about people just cutting them off behind the primary case. I think there is also a cap you can just put over it and leave it there but I am not possitive about that. Otherwise I think you have to take off the primary to take out the lever.

When going to forward's the D-H kit includes the chrome cap that covers the end on the outside of the primary. If you remove it you will have to plug the two holes!I replaced my inner with a chrome wide glide one(NO HOLE).

The chrome cap works fine for me. Less hassle! Plus I changed it back once to mid control. That didn't last long! lol!
