Anybody have a D408F on their Dyna? Getting ready to drop coin on a new front.. and I like my D407 rear tire.... D408 is the matching front.. new this year I think.
I think the D408 may come stock on wide glides.....
Yeah.. Jaron.. been a while.. thought I'd jump back on.... my riding juices are flowing.. .even if the weather sucks... but crap.. I looked at that GT501F I bought... it's down to the wear bars... in 6000 miles... that sucks... way too soft.
I'll give an update on the D408F. I think it's a great tire so far. Got just under 1K miles on it... had it up to ~100.... in twistys and such... no sweat. Will see what the longevity of it is this season.
Well, the tire was narrower than stock.. only a 90. I've probably got 5-7k on it I guess... it looks like there's more wear than I would like, but probably is on par with a narrower tire like that. I probably have enough to finish this season out (another ~3K), but I'm watching it closely at this point.
Looking to go to the 130 width version of this tire tho...
Summary: It wears quicker than I would like, but I had zero issues with this tire. Good handling, no tracking the grooves. If I didn't put about 10k per season on the bike, it would be a great alternate to the stock tire.
