I am thinking about taking them off my WG. I was out for a ride today and was thinking about how much better it would look without it. The I come in and find this thread. They are coming off!!!

How did you get them off? I guess a heat gun would work but I dont want to heat the tank too much. Any suggestions?

Hair dryer for about 3 minutes then pull. Did mine this morning while drinking a cup of coffee.

I say without. I would maybe think a silver pinstripe script if I did anything but it looks great as it is without

I've always de-badged all my bikes. On the other hand, I was really liking the idea of the retro badge from the year I was born. Then I got a different paint scheme that won't work with any badge, so no badges for me.

That's one of the first things I removed. They do look better black than grey though. I think you could go either way.
